Stars at Step house

This is a combination of analysis of the star patterns on the Mesa Verde Step house ceiling.  Some of the stars are easy to see, others are difficult if the lighting is too bright.  Once the stars were visible, we used a mirror on the star so that the camera could capture the location on the fly.  later various computer enhancement methods were used to verify.  Some of the Stars indicated similar pigments were used to create them, some of the stars were probably just charcoal as they did not come out with color enhancement, but with light highlighting methods. here is a sequence of some of the details using Dstretch (computer enhancement program) to bring out the pigments. the 3-4 stretched image does not come out as strong as just reducing the contrast.
